GRT Hot Glass Studios offers a variety of affordable, fun, memorable, and treasured experiences for those of all ages (10+) and experience levels! At GRT Hot Glass Studios, there is always something new to create and explore. Come join us for experiences ranging from Private Instruction, Sampler Classes, or Group sessions!
In these workshops, our instructor with guide you through studio basics and safety and then give a demonstration on the piece you will be making. You will have the opportunity to gather molten glass from a 2100-degree furnace. You will get to choose your colors and sculpt molten glass into a beautiful and unique creation of your own.

Private Hot Glass instruction is a customizable 2-hour lesson available for students from beginner to advanced level (ages 10 and up). Lessons include equipment overview and safety, instructor demo and then student participation to create your own art pieces. Beginners can choose 2 items to make from our class options.
Prices for Private Instruction:
$160 for one person
$220 for 2 people
$280 for three people
In addition to our Private Instruction lessons, we also offer Private Group sessions for you and your friends, family, and/or coworkers to attend. Whether it’s a special occasion for a birthday, work gathering, family-get-together, or friend’s night out, we will make it an unforgettable experience. We just require at least 4 people to participate in group lessons.
This can be a great option for hosting your next team building event, office gathering, bachelor(ette) party, and more. We can accomodate groups of up to 25 people. At our facilities, we have amenities for food and refreshments to be brought and served during sessions.
In group sessions, the per person rate is listed under our class options.
Looking for a unique gift for an important person in your life? We offer gift certificates for any type of class we offer!
Stop by the studio during our office hours (8am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday) to purchase and pick up your gift certificate with redeeming instructions.
Can’t make it during the day? No worries! We can also take payments online or by phone and mail you everything you need for your special gift.
Your creation(s) will have to cool down slowly overnight and will be available to pick up a couple of days later.
The studio can get hot, so please dress accordingly. T-shirts and blue jeans work well, along with closed toed shoes. For safety reasons, synthetic clothing should be avoided. If you have a personal pair of safety or prescription glasses, please bring them. Otherwise, we have some to lend out in the studio.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to all lessons.
If possible, please have this form filled out and printed before your lesson. If unable, printed copies are available upon arrival.
Here at GRT Hot Glass Studios we value you and your business and want to create an environment that is safe and conducive to learning, while having an enjoyable time. We acknowledge that life events out of your control will happen, so if one should arise, please notify us at your earliest opportunity.
If you have booked class time through Eventbrite or the studio:
100% Refund with 7 or more days’ notice
0% Refunded with 6 or fewer days’ notice.
For rescheduling or cancellations:
4 or more days prior notice: No Fee
2-3 days prior notice: $25.00 fee
Same day notice: $50.00 fee
If your party is not present for the lesson within 15 minutes of the start time of the lesson without prior notice, we will consider your group a “no show”. This means we will not reschedule or refund your lesson, and you would need to pay full price if you were to schedule your lesson for another date.
A phone call letting us know you are running late is perfectly fine, just note: if there’s no effort to contact us prior will result in the above.
GRT reserves the right to retain the fee for your lesson if you choose to cancel or reschedule your lesson, if you do not show, or if you do not provide notice before your lesson.

Please note that the class is subject to cancellation if we do not meet the minimum participation number of 4 people. If this is the case, we will contact you about class enrollment via the email you use to sign up, so please be sure to check your email prior to your lesson. If you sign up for a class that does not meet minimum enrollment, we will reach out to you about rescheduling your lesson.
Education Coordinator and Instructor
Summer Lynn Stone is a dedicated artist, educator, and collaborator whose work deals with reflecting on growing up in low socioeconomic status and coping with the unlearning of beliefs of the American Dream. Moore creates objects, installations that present literal narratives that explore and expose ideas of transformation and the realization of the self.
She earned her BFA in Glass and BS in art education from Ball State University and earned her Glass MFA at Tyler School of Art and Architecture on a University Fellowship. She has been awarded a fellowship at the Ox Bow School of Art and Artists Residency and scholarships to the Pittsburgh Glass Center and the Toledo Museum of Art. Summer’s work has been shown in locations including, Museum of Glass Tacoma, WA, Atelier, Philadelphia, PA, Temple Contemporary Philadelphia, PA, Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design Wroclaw, Poland, and multiple locations in Indiana.
Studio Manager and Instructor
Emily Webster is an Indianapolis based artist who graduated from Ball State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, concentrating in glass. Along with her focus in glass she also utilizes mixed media including light, video projection and found objects into her sculptural artwork.
During her time at Ball State University, Emily explored concepts revolving around the current and deteriorating state of her vision. She loves to explore optical illusions, and new visual experiences. Her graduating BFA Thesis show entitled “Wandering Eye”, was a deep dive into her vision and how she perceives the world.
After graduating from BSU, Emily went on to work at GRT Glass Design, and is now the Studio Manager for GRT Hot Glass Studios.
